Absolutely savage.

“Treasury’s legal analysis begins with reading the statute. I recommend you try the same” may be the most devastating sentence ever printed on official government letterhead.

🇺🇸 God Bless America, Land that I Love 🇺🇸

As we celebrate our nation’s birthday, we are reminded that America is more than politics. It is an enduring idea that every person is created equal, that liberty is worth defending, and that self-government depends upon engaged and responsible citizens.

Over the past 250 years, our nation has faced tremendous challenges. We have disagreed, struggled, grown, and persevered. Through it all, generations of Americans have sacrificed to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

Regardless of our political differences, we hope we can all be grateful to those who built this country, defended it, and worked to leave it better for the next generation.

May we continue to cherish our Constitution, honor those who have served, and strive to be worthy stewards of the blessings of liberty.

From the Bath County Republican Committee, we wish everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day weekend.

God bless Bath County, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the United States of America.

New Laws Are Now in Effect

As of July 1, 2026, hundreds of new Virginia laws (700) have taken effect—spanning 34 pages of legislation.

We'll post a link to the full list in the first comment so you can read through them for yourself.

As you review these new laws, ask yourself: Did they address the affordability issues Virginians were promised during the last election? Many Virginians were told that lowering the cost of living would be a top priority, yet many believe these measures fall short of those promises.

It's also worth noting that several policy changes were included in the state budget rather than being debated as standalone legislation, raising questions about whether the budget process is being used for purposes beyond funding the government.

An informed electorate is a stronger electorate. Take a few minutes to review the new laws and let us know which ones stand out to you.

Regardless of political party or ideology, no one should ever weaponize Child Protective Services or law enforcement against another family through knowingly false reports. Not only do these actions traumatize innocent children, they consume public resources and divert attention from families who truly need help.

We can disagree strongly on public policy while still respecting basic human decency. There is no place for this kind of conduct in our politics.

The former transportation secretary recounted being kept away from his 4-year-old twins overnight after an anonymous report falsely accused him of posing a threat to them.

Spanberger LOSES! Virginia Judge BLOCKS July 1 Gun Grab!

ICYMI: The Justice Department filed a lawsuit yesterday against the Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones, and Commonwealth Attorney for Fairfax, Virginia Steve Descano challenging their unconstitutional Virginia mask ban and identification requirements for federal officers.

“Law enforcement officers risk their lives every day to keep Americans safe, and they do not deserve to be doxed or harassed simply for carrying out their duties,” said acting Attorney General Todd Blanche in comment provided to Fox News Digital on Thursday. “Virginia’s anti-law enforcement policies regulate the federal government and are designed to create risk for our agents. These laws cannot stand.”
