With cold temperatures expected in the coming days, the Warming Shelter will be open on the following dates beginning at 6:00pm each evening:

Sunday, December 14th
Monday, December 15th
Tuesday, December 16th

LOCATION:
Haven Hope House (79 Green Street Warner Robins, GA 31088)

TRANSPORTATION:
A shuttle bus will depart at 6:00 PM to bring homeless neighbors to the shelter. If you know someone in need of transportation, please contact: Brian Wise – 478-538-5115

We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to making this shelter a warm and safe place for those in need. Your kindness and generosity are truly making a difference!

What a great start to for the 14th Annual Darrell Calhoun Memorial Meals on Wheels Fan Drive! Thank you Regina Reagan and the folks at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church for these 20 fans! Please help us keep this wonderful idea going! Temperatures will soon rise! Bring fans or donations to our Warner Robins location at 129 South Houston Rd (Trinity United Methodist Church) Christian learning Center, room 106, between the hours of 7:00AM and 2:00PM. Great man! We are proud to have you on The Houston County Council on Aging/ Meals on Wheels Board of Directors. Thank you so much for all you do for the City!

Exactly 59 years ago today, Lt. Charlie Scott made history as one of the first two Black men to join the Warner Robins Fire Department. Through dedication and leadership, he became the first African American to retire as a Lieutenant, paving the way for future generations of firefighters.

His expertise extended beyond our city, representing Warner Robins across the state as a Firefighter Assessor. In 1987, he was recognized as the Warner Robins Fireman of the Year for his outstanding service.

Even in retirement, Lt. Scott remains dedicated to our community. He is a proud member of the Civitan Club, Montford Point Marines, serves on the Board of Directors for the Combined Employee Credit Union, and is an active member of Houston County Meals on Wheels.

We honor Lt. Scott’s legacy, courage, and lasting contributions. Thank you for your service! 🔥
