A Historic Night for the Scottish Rite

On Monday, the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Atlanta brought back a tradition. The first performance of their historic play in 8 years drew over 125 members and guests to Johnnie’s Hill Lodge #748 in Pendergrass—and every one of the 100 available tickets sold out.

Ill. Ben Polston, 33°, Deputy of the Supreme Council, joined them to witness the occasion. The evening was also graced by a special guest appearance from MWB C. Danny Wofford, 33° Grand Cross, returning to the stage as George Washington.

The production raised $2,000 for Scottish Rite charities, made possible by the Piedmont Scottish Rite Association who sponsored the event.

This performance was dedicated to the memory of Ill. Bill Marsh, 33°, the founder of the play and Director Emeritus.

Available to other Valleys: The production can travel. A $275 donation to the cast and a meal for the performers is all that’s needed to bring this to your Valley.
