From the minds that brought you doughnut duck days, sports day, and chick fil a biscuit day, Herc Nation MWR proudly presents: Happy Merry Hallowthankmas Eve (our C-130 delayed 2025 holiday party that happened today, 28 January 2026).

Fun games were played, bbq was enjoyed, and photo booths were commandeered by Senior Leadership. Thanks to our MWR team for such a wonderful year and to our devoted Taylor Swift aficionado and Division Chief, Mr. Walsh, for always being such a good sport!

One Last “Farewell” — Colonel Robinson Hughes

On Friday, our Herc Nation team came together to honor Col Robinson Hughes as he departs his role as C-130 Deputy for Sustainment. We were proud to recognize Col Hughes with a Meritorious Service Medal, a model C-130, and the always-coveted C-130 tail flash coin—a fitting tribute to his outstanding contributions.

Col Hughes’ calm leadership, strategic mindset, and genuine care for the mission and the people behind it made a lasting impact. Whether tackling complex sustainment challenges or simply sharing a laugh over a slice of cake (and a Wisconsin Kringle!), he set the example of professional excellence and camaraderie.

Please join us in thanking Col Hughes for his dedicated service to Herc Nation and wishing him success in his next chapter. You will be missed, sir! ✈️👏

The Herc Nation Front Office Group extends its sincere appreciation to Lieutenant Austin Roberts as he concludes his outstanding service as our Executive Officer.

Over the past year, Lt Roberts has played a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the Division, providing steady leadership, coordination, and a consistent commitment to mission excellence. His professionalism and attention to detail have significantly contributed to the success of the Front Office Group and the broader Herc Nation team.

Among his many accomplishments, Lt Roberts notably led the planning and ex*****on of our Herc Nation 70th Anniversary Celebration, a major event that brought together teammates past and present in a meaningful tribute to the C-130’s legacy of service. His efforts ensured a memorable and impactful milestone for the enterprise.

In addition to his leadership and operational acumen, Lt Roberts is known for his intellectual curiosity and passion for continuous learning—whether through literature, travel, or meaningful conversations. His thoughtful approach to his work and his team has left a lasting impression on all who have worked with him.

While we bid farewell to Lt Roberts in his current role, we are pleased to note that he is not going far. He will remain with Herc Nation, now serving as a Program Manager in the Modification & Sustainment Branch until his PCS next year.

Herc Nation Friends, Family, and Members,

It’s not very often that we get to make a post like this, but we ask that you join us in congratulating our very own Mr. Mike Beasley on an extraordinary career!

Mr. Beasley retired Friday and was recognized by acting Division Chief Andy Walsh with the Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award for his incredible dedication to Herc Nation and the United States Air Force. His time with the Air Force spanned from his enlistment in 1984 to his retirement last Friday. Throughout his service, Mr. Beasley has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise, leaving a lasting impact on numerous aircraft platforms, including the C-130 Hercules.

His legacy of dedication and leadership (along with his office whistling, informal safety briefs, and infectious positive attitude) will be greatly missed!

Congratulations on a wonderful career and well-deserved retirement Mr. Beasley, we know you will “keep it moving”!

Herc Nation is proud to announce the launch of "Herc University," a brand-new training program designed to our turn team members into aviation experts.

This multi-faceted program will feature classes on basic aviation, business practices, and military terminology. It will also include specialized training on C-130 aircraft systems. Most importantly, Herc University will address topics specifically requested by our employees, ensuring the training is both relevant and engaging for everyone.

By attending Herc University, team members will gain a unique understanding of their contribution to the C-130's crucial role in global missions, including disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and national defense.

We are committed to providing our team with the best training possible. Herc University reflects this commitment and will empower our division with the knowledge and expertise we need to continue the vital work of our mighty Herc Nation!
