The Warner Robins Fire Department will be testing fire hydrants today in your area, including in the area of Feagin Mill Rd and Lake Joy Rd, in the area of Links View, Industrial Park Blvd, and Elberta Rd.

Hydrant testing is a routine but important part of keeping our community safe. It helps:
• Maintain overall water quality
• Identify and fix potential issues to ensure hydrants are ready for use in emergencies

Please be aware:
Hydrant testing may cause temporary water discoloration due to stirred-up sediment.

To avoid any issues at home:
• Run washers through a rinse cycle before washing clothes
• Run cold water faucets (especially bathtubs) until the water runs clear

Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

Earlier today, members of the Warner Robins Fire Department and Warner Robins Police Department proudly stood together as a joint Honor Guard during the Memorial Day Ceremony at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

This ceremony served as a solemn reminder of the true meaning of Memorial Day, honoring the brave men and women from Houston County and across our nation who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this country. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Georgia State Representative District 146 Shaw Blackmon, Madame Mayor LaRhonda Patrick, representatives from the Marine Corps League Detachment 1373, American Legion, VFW, community leaders, veterans, public safety personnel, and the many citizens who attended to pay their respects. Your presence reflected the continued commitment of our community to remember and honor our fallen heroes.

The professionalism, unity, and dedication displayed by the joint Honor Guard team represented the very best of public service and demonstrated the strong partnership shared between the Warner Robins Fire Department and Warner Robins Police Department.

Today, we remember. Today, we honor. Today, we stand together for those who gave everything.

Today, the Warner Robins Fire Department honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a day of remembrance for those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We remember their courage.
We honor their sacrifice.
We remain forever grateful.

From all of us at WRFD, we thank our fallen heroes and keep their families, friends, and fellow service members in our thoughts today.

The Fire Departments of Houston County would like to officially thank our Law Enforcement partners for participating in this weekend’s athletic demonstration disguised as a softball tournament.

Representatives from Houston County Fire Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Fire and Emergency Services, Perry Police Department, Centerville Fire Department, Centerville Police Department, Warner Robins Fire Department, and Warner Robins Police Department faced off in a best 3 out of 5 series with 4 players representing each agency.

Unfortunately for Law Enforcement, the Fire Departments handled business quickly and completed the sweep in the first 3 games.

Witnesses reported officers attempting to secure the outfield as a crime scene after firefighters repeatedly launched balls into orbit. Deputies were overheard requesting additional units after the scoreboards became unmanageable. One officer allegedly attempted to read Miranda Rights to a firefighter after stealing another base.

Firefighters approached every inning like a working structure fire:
Fast response.
Aggressive

In true Law Enforcement fashion, several officers also managed to block access to the several scores like the block access with their vehicles on fire scenes, firefighters felt right at home trying to figure out how to manuver around them and still get the job done.

Rumor has it body camera footage is currently under review, although early reports confirm the only thing arrested all day was Law Enforcement’s scoring ability.

A special thank you to our 911 Dispatchers and Communications personnel for supporting the event and helping keep all of our agencies connected both on and off the field. Every successful operation depends on strong communications, and this event was no different.

Most importantly, this event supported Operation Arresting Hunger and helped contribute toward assisting members of our community in need. While the rivalry on the field was competitive, the purpose behind the event reflects what public safety is truly about: serving our community together.

All jokes aside, this was an outstanding event filled with camaraderie, competition, and mutual respect between agencies that work side by side every day serving Houston County. We appreciate everyone who participated and helped make the event a success.

To our Law Enforcement brothers and sisters:
Better luck next time. We will keep the trophy polished and ready for your next attempt.
