Warner Robins, are you ready?! The 2027 Warner Robins Fire Department Calendar officially DROPS OCTOBER 22ND!

But this is more than just a calendar drop. It’s an opportunity to connect with the men who proudly serve and protect our community every day!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual tournament at Houston Lake Country Club, and this year was one for the books! We welcomed 30 teams, the most we’ve ever had! We are incredibly thankful to everyone who came out, played, supported the event, and helped make the day such a success.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our sponsors who helped make this tournament possible, including Women’s Healthcare of Georgia, Clean Control, Newton Development, Flint Energies, Pratt Industries, First Response Service, Combined Employees Credit Union, Gold Cup Bowling, and all of the businesses and individuals who supported this year’s event.

We would also like to give a thank you to Conner Gun Supply for generously donating a fi***rm for our raffle!

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Bobby Stewart. Bobby brought a deeply personal and meaningful perspective to this year’s tournament, reminding us of the heart behind why we come together to support MDA. His words were a powerful reminder that this event is about so much more than a day on the golf course, it’s about the individuals and families whose lives are impacted by muscular dystrophy.

We are incredibly grateful to Bobby for sharing his time, his heart, and his story with us. His presence made an already special day even more meaningful.

Exploring Post 478 is welcoming a new generation of future firefighters and EMS professionals!

Through the program, youth will have the opportunity to:

• Learn foundational firefighting & EMS skills
• Gain hands-on experience with CPR/AED and medical response
• Learn about station operations and emergency response
• Build teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Connect with firefighters, paramedics, and emergency professionals
• Develop confidence, discipline, and life-safety skills

No experience is necessary!

⚠️ 2:15PM UPDATE: INTERNATIONAL CITY FESTIVAL CANCELED⚠️

Due to continued inclement weather and out of an abundance of caution for our attendees, vendors, performers, and staff, the remainder of today’s International City Festival has been cancelled.

This was a difficult decision and we thank you to everyone who joined us today and to all of our vendors, performers, partners, and staff who helped make the festival possible.

Please travel safely as you leave the event area, and thank you for your understanding.

8:46 a.m.

Twenty-five years ago today, American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center. In that instant, an ordinary Tuesday morning became a defining moment in our nation’s history.

8:46 a.m. -Flight 11 struck the North Tower.
9:03 a.m. - Flight 175 struck the South Tower.
9:37 a.m. - Flight 77 struck the Pentagon.
9:59 a.m. -The South Tower collapsed.
10:03 a.m. - Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
10:28 a.m. - The North Tower collapsed.

Within 102 minutes, 2,977 innocent people were killed, including 343 members of the FDNY who entered those towers while thousands of others were trying to escape.

The death toll did not end on September 11. As of August 31, 2026, 9,780 deceased claims had been submitted to the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund on behalf of people believed to have died from illnesses connected to the attacks and the rescue, recovery, and cleanup efforts.

The sacrifice of those who died years later was no less courageous simply because it happened quietly, after the cameras were gone.

Today, the Warner Robins Fire Department joins departments and communities across our nation in remembering every life lost, every family forever changed, and every responder who placed service before self.

As firefighters, we honor their legacy through how we serve, how we prepare, and how we care for one another. We will never allow the words “Never Forget” to become just another phrase.

We remember every life.
We honor every sacrifice.
We will never forget.

This morning, Engineer Robert Alley (pictured in the center holding his helmet) completed his final shift and officially retired after 29 years of dedicated service to the Warner Robins Fire Department.

For nearly three decades, Engineer Alley answered the call, protected our community, supported his fellow firefighters, and helped shape the department we are today. His career represents far more than years of service; it reflects countless sacrifices, missed holidays, sleepless nights, difficult calls, lifelong friendships, and an unwavering commitment to others.

Engineer Alley’s experience, dedication, and faithful service have left a lasting impact on our department, our community, and the firefighters who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Please join us in congratulating Engineer Robert Alley on an outstanding career and a well-earned retirement. Thank you for nearly 30 years of honorable and dedicated service to the Warner Robins Fire Department and the citizens of Warner Robins.

Congratulations, Engineer Alley! Your WRFD family wishes you many years of happiness and success as you begin this well-deserved next chapter. Remember to come see us sometime.

The Warner Robins Fire Department is proud to support Operation Arresting Hunger as they work to place Autism Sensory Bags in the hands of local law enforcement and fire departments throughout Houston County.

These bags will give first responders valuable tools to help comfort, calm, and communicate with individuals with autism during emergencies and other stressful situations. Sometimes a sensory toy, headphones, or a simple communication tool can make a BIG difference.

But we need our community to come together to make this initiative a reality!
