Congratulations to Sabrina Commisso on graduating her technical training for Security Forces! Airman Commisso came into my office eager to start a new journey, and she had the drive to ensure it happened. Her greatest want on joining was to get into law enforcement, and she wanted the Air Force to help her accomplish that goal. I recently got in touch with Airman Commisso, and here are some words from her!
“I’m originally from New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.
I joined Security Forces specifically so I could try to make a difference to people who are in my career field, and to those who are affected by it. My intentions are to be fair, and where I can put myself in another’s shoes. I think that’s very important in today’s world, especially in the law enforcement aspect. Gaining a different perspective then the one you’re told to have is a special skill.
So far, I’ve been to Lackland AFB Texas for basic training and technical school. After tech school I was/am stationed in Ramstein AFB, Germany. Nothing I ever expected to get, yet I’m so thankful that I ended up here. There are lots of opportunities overseas which is probably what I enjoy most about it. Other then being able to travel once covid restrictions lift!
My advice to new airman is to find the people that you want to be like and incorporate those things that you like about them into growing yourself. Also, make sure to give the Air Force everything you’ve got! You’re only going to end up in a better position from where you started.”
