The Trumbull County Board of Commissioners has proclaimed August as Child Support Awareness Month to highlight the critical role child support plays in the well-being of children and families in our community.

Our Trumbull County Child Support Enforcement Agency manages approximately 16,000 active cases and collects more than $26 million in child support each year, helping ensure that children in our county receive the support they need and deserve.

The Trumbull County Commissioners proclaimed June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month in Trumbull County. With this dedication, we aim to increase public awareness of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation - a serious issue affecting seniors here in Trumbull County and throughout the world.

Our Adult Protective Services (APS) Unit investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving adults aged 60 and over in Trumbull County.

If you suspect elder abuse, please contact our 24/7 hotline at 330-392-3248.

This month, you may see purple ribbons throughout Trumbull County. Join us in taking a stand against elder abuse and helping protect some of our most vulnerable residents.

SNAP EBT cards have automatically defaulted to a “block high‑risk transactions” setting. Cardholders will need to unlock their card before making any out‑of‑state or online purchases. This security enhancement also applies to the Summer EBT/Sun Bucks program.

You can lock and unlock your card in the The ConnectEBT app by Conduent or online here: https://www.connectebt.com/ebtconnect/recipient/OH/

Check out the ODJFS website to see how to lock your card step by step: https://jfs.ohio.gov/cash-food-and-refugee-assistance/food-assistance/ohio-direction-card-ebt/EBT-Card-Lock-and-Unlock

05/13/2026

Beginning May 13, SNAP cards must be temporarily unlocked to work for online and out-of-state purchases.

Unlocking is quick and can be done through the Connect EBT app or online.

No changes are needed if you only shop in Ohio or already use the “lock everywhere” setting. https://bit.ly/4t7nDag
