How to Prevent Flu

Teammates,

It's National Influenza Vaccination Week! This week is another reminder that there is still time to roll your #SleeveUp and get your annual flu shot to protect yourself and your loved ones.

It's important for everyone this year -- especially people with certain chronic conditions like heart disease, asthma or diabetes, who are at higher risk of developing serious flu complications.

For more information, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/prevent/prevention.htm

CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against influenza. Take action to prevent flu.

"No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory," - President Franklin D. Roosevelt, delivered Dec. 8, 1941.

On the date Roosevelt said, "which will live in infamy," nearly 2,400 #Americans lost their lives, Dec. 7, 1941, when Japanese bombers attacked Pearl Harbor.

Key officials with Operation Warp Speed report that 20 million doses of the #COVID19 vaccine could be distributed this month.

"We are planning to be ready when [an emergency-use authorization by the Food and Drug Administration] is approved; and when the EUA decision comes [through], distribution to the American people becomes immediate within 24 hours. That's our goal. That's what we're striving for," said Gen. Gustave F. Perna, chief operating officer of #OperationWarpSpeed.

Good Tuesday morning, Teammates:

Today we want to continue out shout outs by wishing the US Navy a happy Navy Day.

Little known history fact: Navy Day was established on October 27, 1922 by the Navy League of the United States according to former Pres. Warren Harding as a “commemoration of past and present services of the Navy.”

October 27th was chosen to recognize Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday. Roosevelt was a former Assistant Secretary of the Navy.

Deployment life can be hard on Soldiers, as well as their families. However, when things get tough, think about what matters the most.

Good morning, Teammates::

Great recommendation by the Army Chief of Staff on the impact of social platforms on our lives. Just finished watching it.

The U.S. Army must build cohesive teams. I am recommending the social dilemma to understand the impact of smart devices on how people communicate and connect in the Information Age. It can be watched on Netflix currently. #21stCenturyCSAReadingList
