Yesterday your Tyler County ESD #4 - Warren Fire & Rescue received a Slip-On grant from the Fire Department Assistance - Texas A&M Forest Service in the amount of $45,000! Thank you to Fire Department Assistance - Texas A&M Forest Service!

The current plan is that this grant will be utilized, in conjunction with additional funding from your Tyler County ESD #4, for refurbishment and conversion of T511. T511 is the largest fire tanker in Tyler County and its ability to move a large volume of water makes it a necessary asset for rural fire protection in our county. It has served the district well for nearly 20 years and it is ready for a well deserved full “makeover”. Stay tuned for great things to come in your fire district!

Your Tyler County ESD #4 - Warren Fire and Rescue will have a special Board of Emergency Services Commissioners meeting Thursday, 10/22/2026, at the Tyler County ESD #4 - Warren Fire & Rescue Main Station, at 7 pm. The agenda has been filed with the County Clerk and posted at the County Clerk’s exterior notice board (across from the courthouse), at the main station by the front door, and on our website under "Documents" ( tylercoesd4.org ). This will be a closed executive session meeting for protected communication with district legal counsel on the proposed Inter-local agreement with Tyler County relating to the county proposed volunteer firefighter policy. But, as always, portions of the meeting are open to the public. And as always, if you wish to address the board during public comments, please notify us at [email protected] at least 2 hours prior. There is a form we will need you to fill out prior to the meeting in order to keep the public comment period orderly and within legal guidelines. This form is available on our website under documents, as well. We welcome all community members and public. Come see all of the positive growth happening at your fire station.

Red Flag Fire Warning for Tyler County
RED FLAG FIRE WARNING conditions for Tyler County for Friday, October 16th and Saturday the 17th:
A dry cold front will cross into Tyler County Friday morning, with gusty north winds expected. These winds will combine with dry conditions to bring a threat for rapid spread of any new fire starts. A Red Flag Warning has been issued, by the National Weather Service, for portions of the area along and north of US Highway 190 where elevated winds and low humidity will overlap most. These concerns will last into the evening and early overnight hours as humidity will be slow to increase overnight. Fire weather concerns return during the day on Saturday.
Please refrain from burning from now through the weekend. We are not under a Burn Ban, BUT we need to not burn at this time. Thank you for your cooperation.

She is headed to Proctor, Texas to continue her fire service career with Proctor Volunteer Fire Department. We know they will love her just as much as we did and she will keep them safe. 🧡🖤
