🔥 20 AUG 2026 | WORKING FIRE 🔥

At approximately 14:17 hours, Engines 3, 5, and Tower Ladder 1, were dispatched to Laurel Lane for a reported structure fire.

Engine 5, clearing from another call, arrived with the Warren Police Department and reported a Code Red in a one-story, wood-frame ranch. Initial reports indicated that all occupants were safely outside, with the exception of two dogs still inside the residence.

Car 1 arrived shortly thereafter and assumed Incident Command, with additional personnel and companies arriving to assist. Crews immediately initiated a primary search while simultaneously working to locate and extinguish the fire.

Firefighters successfully located and removed both dogs and contained the fire to the kitchen area- resulting in moderate fire and water damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Excellent work by our firefighters, who made a quick and effective knockdown, limiting damage and saving a family’s home, but most importantly, saving their beloved pets.

This morning, members of Station 1 gathered for training focused on removing a victim from an elevated surface using the Tower Ladder.

With ongoing solar panel installations, mill renovations, and HVAC upgrades taking place throughout town, crews recognized the importance of being prepared for the possibility of a worker becoming ill or injured while working on a roof or other elevated surface.

Members utilized the Tower Ladder, rescue litter, ropes, and webbing to safely package and lower a simulated victim to the ground.

And to everyone watching from the bike path…we appreciate the added pressure!

Training like this helps ensure that when the call comes, our members are ready to respond safely, efficiently, and effectively.

If it ain’t raining, we’re training…well we don’t discriminate against weather. ☀️ 🥵

Even though today was one of the hottest of the summer, a few of our probationary and cadet members assembled at Station 1 to throw some ladders, talk tactics, review the grip hoist and check out a new cutting tool on Special Hazards.

They start their Basic Firefighter training this fall, and they are looking forward to serving the town we all love. Great job today gentlemen!

We can’t wait to see you there!

22 July 2026- Annual SCBA Testing & Inspection

This week, all of our air packs are undergoing annual testing. Annual inspections and flow testing for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) are primarily governed by NFPA 1852 (Standard on Selection, Care, and Maintenance of Open-Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus).

This standard ensures we have mission ready and safe equipment for our Firefighters.
