Friday Flashback! 📸

This beautiful old stone bridge once crossed Jackson Run. The details in the photos say it was near Logan Road, but here at the Township, we wonder if it was on Creamery Road.

What a beautiful piece of craftsmanship it was! Does anyone remember this bridge or know when it was replaced? We’d love to hear your memories! ❤️

⭐️ cricket was not harmed and released into the wild.

For those wondering when you might find some action going on in our board room...

The board meetings are the 2nd & 4th Monday of every month at 4:00 P.M.

and the Municipal Authority meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 5:00 P.M.

Reminder: Conewango Township is unable to accept tax payments unless the Tax Collector, Cherry McIntyre, is physically in the office and receives the payment personally. Payments left in our drop box will be returned to sender.

You may mail your tax payment, or stop by the Township Office during the following times to pay in person:

September 22, 24, 28 & 29
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

September 23 & 30
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Before you plant that tree, know where the right-of-way is!

Conewango Township would like to remind property owners that the legal right-of-way may extend beyond the paved portion of the roadway and onto what may appear to be private property.

Under Conewango Township Ordinance No. 70-1, no person may plant a tree within the right-of-way of a Township road. The ordinance defines a “tree” to include trees, shrubs, and other woody plants.

Please keep this in mind when planting or placing landscaping near the roadway. Landscaping or other items placed within the right-of-way may be damaged during routine Township operations, including road maintenance, mowing, drainage work, snow removal, or other necessary work.

The Township encourages property owners to verify the location of the legal road right-of-way before planting near the roadway.
