☀️ Summer is quickly approaching, and with school breaks, vacations, camps, and outdoor activities just around the corner, it's a great time to focus on keeping children safe.

At A Safe Place of Warren and Forest Counties, we believe that prevention starts with education and open communication. We've put together a few helpful tips to help parents, caregivers, and trusted adults create safe environments where children can thrive.

Remember to:
💜 Talk with children about bodies, boundaries, and behaviors.
💜 Check in regularly and ask how they are feeling.
💜 Listen to both the little things and the big things.
💜 Learn the signs of grooming and stay alert to concerning behaviors.
💜 Encourage children to identify trusted adults they can turn to for help.

Small conversations can have a big impact. By staying informed, involved, and connected, we can all help create a safer summer for the children in our communities.
