River Gate High School River Gate High is a high school serving students who would be traditionally enrolled in grades 9-12, aged 15-21.

River Gate serves students age 15-21 who may have fallen behind in credits, difficulty passing state tests, are at risk of dropping out, or just need a new start. These students may have fallen behind in earning credits, have difficulty passing state required tests, are at risk of dropping out of school, or just need a new environment in which they can succeed. River Gate High students do not enro

ll in a specific grade level but rather in the "River Gate High School." We target the population of students whose educational needs have not been met at any meaningful level. River Gate High is an alternative for the non-traditional student. The River Gate High model catches the students that are falling through the cracks and empowers the community with more contributing adult citizens.

Congratulations to our 2026 RGHS Graduates!

Graduation rehearsal is today at 10:00am at the Kent State Trumbull campus in the Classroom & Administration building. Parking is available in the back area of campus near this building. The official ceremony begins at the same place this evening at 6:00pm! Graduates need to arrive no later than 5:30pm. NOTE that due to limited seating, all attendees will have to have a ticket to enter! See you then!
