TOMAH, WI — 29 May 2026 — The City of Tomah is pleased to announce the internal promotion of Trisha Skofronick to the position of Director of the Tomah Public Library, effective June 15, 2026.

Skofronick brings a unique combination of academic achievement, leadership experience, and deep community commitment to the role. She is a Certified Grade I Wisconsin Public Librarian and has served the Tomah Public Library for a cumulative seven years in a variety of capacities, including as the library’s custodian, page, and assistant. Her progression through multiple roles within the organization reflects both her dedication to public service and her firsthand understanding of the library’s mission and operations.

Skofronick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, a Master of Science in School Psychology from UW–Eau Claire, and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

In addition to her library experience, Skofronick previously served as the Director of Special Education and School Psychology for the Boscobel School District, where she demonstrated strong leadership, organizational management, and advocacy for educational excellence.

Her longstanding commitment to community service also includes serving as Treasurer for the Friends of Tomah Public Library nonprofit organization and as Treasurer for the Queen of the Apostles Parent Teacher Association.

“Trisha’s promotion represents the continuation of a strong tradition of public service and community engagement at the Tomah Public Library,” said City Administrator Nick Morales. “Her experience within the library system, professional background in education and administration, and passion for serving the community make her exceptionally well-qualified to lead the library into its next chapter.”

Skofronick will succeed Library Director Irma Keller, who is retiring after more than 30 years of honorable service to the City of Tomah. The City extends its sincere gratitude to Keller for her decades of leadership, dedication, and lasting contributions to the Tomah community.

The City of Tomah looks forward to the continued growth and success of the Tomah Public Library under Skofronick’s leadership.
