We are grateful to those who partnered with us for Jeans4JoCo, which took place from April 13-17. This week we will be highlighting our partners in this fundraising initiative.

Today we extend a shout out and our appreciation to the teachers and staff of Warrensburg R-VI! Together they raised $605. We appreciate the efforts of all participants in raising funds to award grants to those serving youth and families in Johnson County.

ALL DAY, Wendy’s will generously donate 30% of sales when you mention JoCo United way or show them the electronic flyer below on your phone, when you order at the drive-thru or inside. Easy peasy!

The funds generated from this event will help us continue to award grants to local organizations dedicated to supporting youth and families in our community such as the weekend food backpack programs for school children (ECHO), The Pediatric Place Family First Initiative, and offer our fall coat drive—just to name a few! Directors Mark and Gretchen Reynolds attended the MO Association of United Way meeting in Jefferson City this week where they had dinner with Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe. The Kehoes are passionate about United Way, each of them having served as either a board member or as head of the fundraising campaign in previous years.

We are fortunate to have such proponents of the mission of United Way residing in the Governor's office and hope you will join us as our directors and board members work toward our mission of "Uniting people and resources to impact the lives of youth and our community in Johnson County."
