Join Warren County 4-H for an interactive INTRO TO BIRD ID in the Adirondacks. Participants will learn how to identify species using size, shape, color patterns, behavior, habitat, and sound.

Through hands-on activities, a guided bird walk, and demonstrations of birding tools from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, participants will gain the skills and confidence to begin identifying birds on their own.

The workshop will cover binocular basics, common Adirondack birds, bird songs and calls, and the use of free resources including Merlin Bird ID and eBird. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice their new skills during a short bird walk around the Cornell Cooperative Extension property.

No prior birding experience is necessary.

Open to ALL YOUTH ages 5-19. You do NOT need to be a member of 4-H to join us, but registration is required and can be done by e-mailing [email protected] or call 518-668-4881.
