Another BIG thank you to today’s invasive removal crew led by Jake from WCSWCD. Today a crew of 7 removed approximately 3,150 plants from a two acre section of the forest where we removed lots of burning bush, bittersweet and copious amounts of garlic mustard. We also planted 40 bare root red oaks and red maples. Thank you to our great crew of volunteers!

Still one more date left to volunteer!! 👇

The Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District is pleased to announce a program designed to support our native pollinators. This year, our goal is to convert one acre of turfgrass in the County into pollinator plots. Pollinators play a vital role in our ecosystem by enhancing the productivity of gardens, fruit trees, and native plants.
If you have a section of your lawn that you'd like to transform into a pollinator habitat, please scan the QR code below! We are seeking volunteers to convert 100 to 500 square feet of lawn for 5 years, and we will provide the seeds at no cost. This is a great opportunity to help improve pollinator habitats while also spending less time mowing this summer!
