Thirty-four Airmen of the 116th Air Control Squadron (ACS) stationed at Camp Rilea in Warrenton, Oregon deployed to support USCENTCOM air and space operations in the Fall of 2024 through Spring of

Deployed members of the ACS returned this week to their friends and families after +6 months of support to military operations in the Middle East.

The unit has a long and proud history of federal deployments to include over the last 25 years:

-2001-2003, Jackson Hole, WY, Operation NOBLE EAGLE
-2006, Afghanistan, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM
-2009, Iraq, Operation IRAQI FREEDOM
-2011, Qatar, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM
-2015, United Arab Emirates, Operation RESOLUTE SUPPORT, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, Combined Defense of the Arabian Peninsula
-2019, United Arab Emirates, Operation RESOLUTE SUPPORT, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE
-2024, CONUS/OCONUS, Operation SPARTAN SHIELD, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE

The most recent deployment is the last federal mobilization for the 116 ACS. The unit will convert to two cyber operations squadrons over the next few years.

Over the weekend the Longracks lined the hallways to give a final standing ovation to Chief Ledoux as he exited the building after his last Drill with us. Your dedication to our Unit has been truly remarkable and noteworthy. We hope you enjoy your Retirement.

During December Drill, the 116 Air Control Squadron conducted it’s final in-garrison mission at Camp Rilea. Longracks has called Camp Rilea home since 1988, where it has controlled thousands of live and simulated missions to build military readiness for the Nation and State of Oregon.
