This leadership position plays an important role in shaping the future of Fauquier County through long-range planning, development review, transportation planning, and community development initiatives.

The Chief of Planning oversees the Planning Division within the Department of Community Development and works closely with County leadership, staff, and the community on a wide variety of impactful projects and initiatives.

Salary range: $84,773 to $152,592, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Airport. We’re looking for someone with experience in financial systems such as QuickBooks, grant management and funding for capital or maintenance projects, plus familiarity with the Federal Aviation Administration, Virginia Department of Aviation, and Tyler MUNIS.
