Extreme heat!! Please be careful if you have to be outside for extended time!!

A period of dangerously hot weather starts today, with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 90s. A heat advisory has been issued for areas from the Triangle to the south and east, where the heat index may reach 105F.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT – MULTIPLE BRUSH FIRES 🚨roadways are back open
Multiple brush fires have been reported in the 1300 block of Richardson Road.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes until the scene is cleared. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and follow directions from emergency personnel.

🏆 Today, Team Warren County was honored to receive recognition for exceptional EMS leadership, innovative community placement of AEDs, and achieving one of the highest percentages of residents trained in lifesaving CPR and AED skills.

Through the dedication of our team and community partners, Warren County has successfully trained 25% of our population, helping ensure that more citizens are prepared to respond when every second counts.

This achievement represents the collective efforts of Team Warren County, including Warren County Emergency Services, the Warren County E911 Center, and the Lake Gaston 911 Task Force.

We are proud of what we have accomplished together and remain committed to expanding lifesaving education, increasing access to AEDs, and strengthening emergency preparedness throughout our community.
Thank you to our first responders, instructors, volunteers, community partners, and residents who made this possible. Together, we are building a safer and stronger Warren County.
