I need to take a minute to brag about Danielle Bue Stephanie Blaylock Stacey Brown and their incredible family. 💛
There is so much that goes into opening a place like Frolic & Lark that nobody ever sees. The sanding. The painting. The installing. The fixing. The cleaning. The million little things that somehow need to happen all at once.
Yesterday, Danielle and her family showed up and DID IT.
They worked their butts off, stayed late last night, and poured so much time and care into this little place so that Frolic & Lark could be ready for what’s ahead.
And Danielle gave me something even bigger yesterday: she gave me the night off.
My older kids came to town to visit, and instead of me being at Frolic until who-knows-when trying to get everything done, she basically told me to GO. She had it. I got to be home, hang out with all of my kids being together, and actually enjoy having them here.
That meant more to me than I can explain.
When you start a business, you hear a lot about finding good employees. Danielle has never been just an “employee”. She has been my friend for years and has now become my right hand, my voice of reason, and someone who genuinely cares about Frolic & Lark right alongside me.
And apparently hiring Danielle also came with an entire bonus crew of wonderful humans who are willing to grab a paintbrush, a sander, or whatever else we throw at them. 😂
To Danielle and every single member of her family who has helped get this place across the finish line: thank you. Truly.
Frolic & Lark looks as good as it does because a whole lot of people have loved this little dream with me. I will never forget the people who showed up before the doors even opened. 💛
