NECAC to host public hearing in Section 8 program

NECAC will host a public hearing on its annual plan for administering the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
The plan is to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a compliance requirement to receive contracted funding for the Lincoln County Public Housing Agency (LCPHA).
The hearing is at 10 a.m. June 10th at the NECAC Pike County Service Center, 815 N. Bus. Hwy 61 in Bowling Green, LCPHA covers Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, Shelby and Warren counties in NECAC’s service area.
The annual plan and public hearing are part of contract requirements and describe NECAC's administration of the program, which provides partial rent payments to income-qualifying applicants.
More information is available by calling NECAC Section 8 Programs Director Michelle Worthington at 573-324-2055.
