Weekend Recap 💪🇺🇸

This weekend, Soldiers of the 3175th conducted AMRE and EST training in preparation for upcoming weapons qualifications in March, continuing to set the standard as the premier Military Police unit in the state.

Following the completion of range simulators, Soldiers transitioned into first aid training, with a focus on cold weather injuries, along with additional readiness tasks critical to maintaining operational effectiveness.

After returning to the armory, the unit conducted PMI on the M17, M4, and M249, reinforcing fundamentals and sharpening proficiency ahead of qualification.

We also took time to recognize some well-earned promotions:

🎉 SGT Adams → SSG
🎉 PFC Wooten → SPC

And in true MP fashion…
Anyone hear about the scarecrow that got promoted? Leadership noticed he was outstanding in his field.

We’ll be back in March to qualify on our assigned weapons.

We wear this uniform because we want purpose, opportunity, and to be a part of a team that has your back. We want quality training to real-world missions; we want to train hard and train right. We want to sharpen our skills, stay relevant, and build experience that transfers to our civilian careers.

🎆 Welcome to the New Year! A New Chapter for the 3175th MP Company 🎆

As we welcome the New Year, the 3175th Military Police Company reflects on a year of significant change and growth across the formation.

This past year brought major transitions in leadership, including 1SG Cardoza assuming responsibility from 1SG White, and a Change of Command from CPT Cravens to CPT Deloach. We also welcomed three new Platoon Leaders, celebrated multiple retirements, recognized the promotion of our newest Sergeants, and gained many new faces joining the ranks of the 3175th.

Through every transition, one thing remains constant.. the 3175th Military Police Company is the premier Military Police unit in the state. That standard is upheld daily by our Soldiers’ professionalism, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

As we step into the New Year, we look forward to new missions, challenging training, and continued growth as a team-strengthening readiness, sharpening our skills, and building on the legacy that sets us apart.

As you celebrate the New Year, we ask all Soldiers and Families to do so safely and responsibly. Plan ahead, avoid impaired driving, look out for one another, and return ready to train and accomplish the mission.

This week former Military Police Officer Captain Coates instructed a mix of wrestling, combatives, and jiu-jitsu.

Thank you to Sheriff Allen and Captain Coates of the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department for inviting us! We’re excited to return the favor by giving them an Army Fitness Test this spring 💪 Thank you to Gracie Barra in Hannibal for hosting! It was an awesome environment. These kinds of partnerships make us all better.

🇺🇸SGT Anthony Harr 🇺🇸

SGT Anthony Harr has been serving since 2010, spending time in both active duty and the traditional National Guard. He began his career in the Military Police Corps and has been stationed in Hannibal and St. Clair, Missouri; Fort Greely, Alaska; Kuwait; and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Throughout his service, SGT Harr has taken on key leadership roles including Team Leader, Sergeant of the Guard (SOG), Customs Inspector in the UAE, and Amnesty NCO in Kuwait. He now serves as a Squad Leader for Det 1, 3175th MP CO and as our Hometown Morale Officer! 😉

But the Harr legacy started long before that!

SFC (Ret.) Ken Harr served in the U.S. Army from 1970–1999. What began as an effort to “keep out of trouble” led him to a fulfilling career and to meet his future wife! SSG Tammy Harr joined the U.S. Army Reserve in 1984, inspired by her Grandfather’s service and a desire to see new things. Despite different paths, Mr. And Mrs. Harr were both deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm at the same time (pictured below). Mrs. Harr’s dedication to Veterans and our unit remains a cornerstone of support. If you attend one of our Dining Outs, you’ll see first-hand the dedication she has for making her son’s unit feel special.

Mrs. Harr shared, “We knew we both had learned valuable lessons and respect for the military, and we supported [their children] through their journey if that was their desire.”

Their daughter, SFC Jackie Harr, a Biomedical Equipment Repair Specialist in the Missouri National Guard, keeps life-saving medical equipment mission-ready—providing critical support.

The Harrs are a remarkable family of four who all answered the call to serve.

We will never be able to thank the Harr family enough. Ken, Tammy, Jackie, and Anthony, we thank you for your service to our nation and to our unit. Your legacy of dedication, sacrifice, and family support is truly inspiring!

Our unit is proud to honor all who have served, especially the Veterans right here in our communities.

We’ve had the privilege of spending time with many local Veterans, including those who once served from our very own armories.
Hearing their stories and learning about their service has been both humbling and inspiring. Their experiences remind us of the deep connection between our unit and the community we serve.

To all Veterans, we thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and continued support.

🎖 Farewell and Thank You, SSG Frickel 🎖

This weekend marked SSG Frickel’s final drill with the 3175th Military Police Company, the Premier MP Unit in the Missouri Army National Guard.

As our Admin NCO, she has been the steady hand behind countless missions, operations, and administrative tasks that kept the company moving forward. Her work ethic, leadership, and unwavering dedication have set the standard for excellence throughout the ranks.

Beyond her professionalism, we’ll miss her friendship, humor, and support that made every drill a little brighter.

As a parting gift, Soldiers across the formation showed their appreciation and love by dawning friendship bracelets, a small but meaningful reminder of the lasting bonds she’s built within the team. 💚💛

Please join us in thanking SSG Frickel for everything she’s done for the 3175th MP Company and in wishing her continued success in her next role.
