Two of our members attended the class, Smoke Divers, this weekโ€”an intensive training focused on the safe and efficient use of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Participants built confidence and sharpened their skills through hands-on drills, smoke conditions, and live fire scenarios involving search, rescue, forcible entry, and RIT basics. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’

Weโ€™re also proud that one of our Captains served as an instructor, sharing his knowledge and experience with firefighters from across the class.

Training like this helps ensure our crews are always prepared to keep themselves safe and to serve our community effectively.

Last week was a special evening for our District as we celebrated several important milestones. We proudly recognized the swearing-in of Fire Chief Oโ€™Hare and look forward to the leadership and vision he brings to our organization.

We were also honored to recognize Lt. Hamman as our Firefighter of the Year. This peer-nominated award reflects the respect of fellow members and recognizes outstanding service, commitment, and professionalism.

We also officially welcomed our new Fire Marshal, Michael Lucas, to the team and are excited for the experience he brings to this role.

Congratulations to all who were recognized. It was a great night celebrating the people who make our District strong.
