9/11/2001 is a day embedded in many of our minds. No amount of words can truly describe the events of that day, the magnitude with which our entire nation felt the effects. Twenty-five years later, the day still serves as a day of reflection. May we never forget, and may we hold on to the unity that followed.

Since we know Miss Jolie doesn’t like bragging about her accomplishments (other than making her leash holder look good), join us in congratulating K9 Jolie and Cpl. Blanchard, along with two other Bucks County explosives teams - K9 Kenzo and Ofc. Sharp of Bristol Township Police and K9 Zeke and Deputy Brewerton of the Bucks County Sheriff's Office - on earning their ATF National Odor Recognition. YAY! 👏 👏

🚨 🚨 Interesting Notes 🚨 🚨

-This is not the first time K9 Jolie and Cpl. Blanchard have earned this honor. Their tireless work training at home and with Penn Vet Working Dog Center is evident!!!

-K9 Jolie & Cpl. Blanchard are set to retire together next year. 😩 There won’t be a dry eye in the department… for Jolie, of course. 🤣🤣

-K9 Kenzo was donated to Bristol Township by the incredible Throw Away Dogs Project. Kenzo came to them through the generosity of Matt Betts of International Canine Exchange of K9 Instincts. If you aren’t familiar with TADP, take a look at the work they have continued throughout the years bringing incredible dogs to many of our local departments at no cost. Shout out to all the incredible folks who make TADP able to make a difference.

-K9 Kenzo absolutely stole founder of TADP Carol Skaziak’s heart while she fostered him, before he went off to big boy school. With such an amazingly sweet temperament, Carol wasn’t sure if Kenzo would excel at apprehension work… Decoy Jess, aka “Work Mom,” can attest, Kenzo crushes it!!!! 🤣

-K9 Zeke and Deputy Brewerton have worked tirelessly to hone their skill. Zeke was rescued from a neglect situation and came to Dep. Brewerton timid and underweight. Through great dedication, Zeke and Brewerton have proven themselves a great team serving Bucks County and beyond.

-Underweight no more, K9 Zeke has affectionately earned the nickname “Sneaky Zekey” due to his impressive ability to sneak a nibble (or all) of any unsupervised food. He is true to his lab breed!! 🤣

Join us in congratulating Bucks County’s finest!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you to Deanna Durante for her recent coverage of this training and certification!

This past week, the leash holder and I had the awesome opportunity to assist the United States Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay in a joint operation at the Port of Philadelphia, ensuring the safety and security of our region. There were so many other K-9 teams who joined the operation….it was like alphabet soup (🤣🤣 I got jokes!). Shout out to all the teams from the USCG, HSI, ATF, DEA, and so many local departments (see, I wasn’t kidding!). Thank you to the USCG for the invite; as always, I made my human look good!! 😍
