Mike Felker for Congress Future Candidate for public office.

In Indiana regardless of POLITICAL PARTY the theme when running for office is helping the Public.... then when elected they do a 180 and give the kitchen sink to everybody but the people they claim to represent.

Patterns and Trends say this has gotten much worse.

In 2001, approximately 39,450 Indiana corporate income tax returns were filed: about 580 returns from financial institutions, 21,600 returns from C corporations, and 17,250 returns from special corporations.

Just over 44% of these corporations had NO INCOME tax liability in 2001.

Almost 88% paid $10,000 or less in income tax; meanwhile, approximately 2.5 percent (1,000 corporations) paid almost 80 percent of the total corporate income tax liability

Hoosiers wonder why the IGA and local governments continue raising taxes on Hoosiers.

Who was elected to manage the decline of a great nation?

Or were they elected to do whats right and not destroy the next generation?

Around a year ago we were adding approx $42k to the National Debt each second. Today 2March2026 its $81k each second.

Nothing in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution says anything about Congress having the authority to abuse the spending clause.

America is sacrificing the future for the present.

Everybody wants change while staying comfortable...

In America, we elect people to represent us—but do they truly represent us? The Constitution sets the qualifications for holding federal, state, and local office, and it does so with striking simplicity: no college degree required, no law license, no business ownership, no personal wealth, and no insider connections to Washington. That was deliberate. The framers wanted us to choose leaders who look like us, sound like us, and live like the people in the districts they serve. Somehow, that principle has been lost. We’ve drifted toward electing politicians who are increasingly disconnected—financially, culturally, and experientially—from the very Americans they claim to represent. And far too often, we hand power to those who rule over us instead of standing among us.

For such the government is BOUND to defend the lives and fortunes of the CITIZEN, which protection cannot be afforded, unless the government be furnished adequate supplies for that purpose, it is but reasonable that the individual should, on his part, contribute his proper proportion thereof.

On the other hand, since the citizen is on no other account obliged to pay taxes, or undergo any public burden, but as they are necessary to defray the expenses of the state, it aught to be the singular care of the government to draw no further supplies than the exigencies of the public require; and to see likewise that the citizens be as little as possible incommoded with the charges they are forced to put them to.

Government should only take what it needs...not what it wants.

Just took my 2026 "issue survey". The G.A. hopes Hoosiers are too busy to pay attention to them raising your taxes continually.

If your house is worth more in 2026 because some "assessor" claims it is....then why does the state, county take the increased tax rate year after year? Does the state take more money each year because it can or is it only to take what it needs?

The G.A. gives Hoosiers tax breaks then gives local governments the ability to increase local taxes. (SB1)

Then they give their legislative authority to INDOT and Governor to toll the roads with permission from the Federal government. (HB1461)

The budget increased by $1 billion...and we ALL know where that money will come from...HOOSIERS! (HB1001)

To me then it appears that there have been differences of opinion, and party differences, from the establishment of governments to the present day, and on the same question which now divides our country, that these will continue through all future times....that opinions, that which are equally honest on both sides, should not [a]ffect personal esteem or social intercourse.-Thomas Jefferson
