The Lakeview Middle School boys cross country team put together a strong
performance at the Taylor Invite, showing the determination and teamwork that has
been a hallmark of the Tigers’ season.
Magnus Granger led the way for Lakeview, finishing 14th overall in 11:02.59. Krishna
Puthucode followed with an impressive 30th place finish in 11:49.04, while Asher
Brenneman crossed the line in 34th at 11:59.23.
Henry Gough, Theo Yoder, Bronson Schuh, and Ezzy Shively also turned in solid
performances, finishing between 12:04 and 12:42.
The Tigers’ depth continued to shine with Oliver Grossman, Weston Boyer, Jude
Stump, Will Bechtold, and Kendrick Kuhn also competing hard for Lakeview with a
massive PR.
With runners continuing to improve and push one another, the Lakeview boys are
building valuable momentum as the season progresses. Their effort, depth, and
team-first attitude are exciting signs of what this group can accomplish.

The Lakeview Middle School girls cross country team turned in an impressive
performance at the Taylor Invite, competing head-to-head with #5 and #8 teams in the
state from last season.
Lakeview showed right from the start that they belonged among the best. London
Kinsey led the Tigers with an outstanding 2nd place finish in 11:51.81, followed closely
by teammate Makenzie Warner, who finished 3rd in 12:02.15. Franki Rastrelli added
another top 10 performance, placing 7th in 12:17.20.
The Tigers' depth was equally impressive. Avery Davis finished 12th, Londyn Pixton
13th, and Penelope Hill 14th, giving Lakeview an incredible six runners in the top 14.
Lucy Purdy also turned in a strong race, finishing 18th in 12:55.44.
Adding to an already impressive day, Lakeview broke its own team course record
from last year, posting a remarkable combined time of 1:00:52.92.
Against teams with established state-level success, Lakeview's performance was a
powerful indication of the progress this team is making. The Tigers demonstrated
speed, depth, and—most importantly—a commitment to racing together as a team.
This wasn't just a good race for Lakeview—it was a statement. The Tigers are
ready to compete with the best.
