Today, our hearts are with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the family of the deputy who lost his life in the line of duty, the deputy who remains hospitalized, and the families of both deputies impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy.

There are no words that truly capture the weight of a moment like this. A family called for help, deputies answered that call, and one of them did not return home. Another remains in the hospital, and we pray for his strength, healing, and full recovery.

The Warsaw Police Department stands with Sheriff Kevin Kemp, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and the entire Carroll County community. We also stand with the families behind the badge, because they carry the burden of this profession with us. When one law enforcement family hurts, we all feel it.

Please keep these deputies, their families, their agency, and every first responder involved in your prayers today and in the difficult days ahead.

Please stay alert, follow official updates from law enforcement, and if you see this individual or have information regarding his whereabouts, do not approach. Call 911 immediately.

Today, Virginia law enforcement mourns together, stands together, and prays together.

Pride in Service, Honor in Duty, Protecting with Integrity.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is not simply a holiday. It is a national pause for the brave men and women who served this country, stood in defense of freedom, and never made it home.

Behind every flag, every headstone, and every name is a life that mattered. A family that sacrificed. A story that did not end in comfort, but in courage.

As we gather with family, travel, and enjoy the freedoms we are blessed to have, may we never forget the cost paid by those who gave everything for this nation. Their sacrifice is the foundation beneath the freedoms we too often take for granted.

To the fallen, we owe more than words. We owe remembrance. We owe gratitude. We owe it to ourselves to live in a way that honors the price they paid.

For those who gave all, we will never forget.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend Safety Reminder 🇺🇸

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, the Warsaw Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy the holiday safely, responsibly, and with purpose.

This weekend is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to gather with family, travel, celebrate, and enjoy the freedoms we hold dear.

If you are on the road this weekend, buckle up every trip, every time. Drive sober. Slow down. Stay alert. Look out for one another. Whether you are traveling, boating, grilling, or spending time with friends and family, safety starts with each of us.

Warsaw Police Department officers will be out throughout the weekend working to help keep our community safe.

Have fun. Stay safe. Arrive alive.

To all who served, and especially to those who never made it home, we will never forget.

As we head into the hottest months of the year, remember to look out for our littlest passengers:

1️⃣ Always check the back seat.
2️⃣ Lock your vehicle doors.
3️⃣ If you see a child alone in a hot car, call 911 immediately.

🏛️🇺🇸 PROUD MOMENT FOR WARSAW | SERVICE SUPPORTING SERVICE 🇺🇸🏛️

Yesterday at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia, Town Manager Joseph Quesenberry, Chief Peterson, and Lieutenant Radden proudly received the prestigious Patriot Award from Virginia Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense office that recognizes outstanding support for National Guard and Reserve service members.

This recognition is more than an award. It reflects a leadership culture within the Town of Warsaw and the Warsaw Police Department that understands duty, respects military service, and supports the citizen warriors who continue to serve their communities and their country.

The Patriot Award recognizes leaders who support Guard and Reserve members by providing flexibility, understanding, time off for military obligations, and respect for the families who stand behind the service member.

Receiving this honor at the National Museum of the Marine Corps made the moment even more meaningful. It connected community service, military service, sacrifice, and leadership in one of our nation's most powerful settings.

This is a proud moment for the Town of Warsaw, the Warsaw Police Department, and all who believe in service before self.

Pride in Service, Honor in Duty, Protecting with Integrity.
