Today we celebrate Deputy Spanyer and Deputy Spanyer. More formally known as Mark and Karen. Today is their last day with us before they retire (for good this time) and move to the beach. Mark has always been known as the big teddy bear of the courthouse security team. Unless you wear your hat in court and then with one swipe of his paw you will be removed. Karen pioneered our new evidence tracking system. Her attention to detail ensured its success when being launched. They will surely be missed and we hope they know they always have a home here. Thank you for the service you provided to this office and our community.

Thanks to all the ladies in the Circuit Clerks Office for being great host and party planners.

Sheriff Webster

Let’s remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and didn’t get to go home. Their families will never be the same.

Thank you to all our deputies and their families for sharing them with us. We are honored they choose to protect and serve Gallatin County.

Reminder: Scammers are hard at work and everyday come up with a new way to try to get money from citizens. It’s hard to post them all because there’s a new one all the time. You will not get a text asking to pay tickets, tolls, or about jury duty claiming you will be prosecuted if you don’t pay. Don’t fall for it!

Wanted to share a letter praising great work by 2 Grant County Detention Center deputies. In our line of work it’s not always possible to find every item. The proper use of body scanners and advanced search procedures that can’t be done roadside are paramount. It is becoming more frequent for prisoners to ingest or insert drugs to get them into the facility. Guards doing a great job reduce the amount of risk to prison population’s and save counties thousands in medical bills every year. Great Job GCDC!

Thank you Sheriff Webster for your kind words, Great job Deputy Rourk and Deputy Selby! Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office

We have continually received calls about this scam as well as many others. You will not get a text in reference to a violation or jury duty. Clicking links and putting your personal information or entering your credit card should be a red flag. Official court references will be delivered by a law enforcement official or received in the mail. Please do not fall for these, it will be very difficult to get your money back if at all. Call the agency being represented if you have any questions.
