Morning showers and storms may produce instances of damaging wind gusts or hail. However, the better chance for severe storms is later today from about 2pm to 11pm EDT. Hail, damaging wind gusts, and heavy rain are the primary hazards.

Breezy today with chances (40-90 percent) for showers and storms increasing through this aft/eve and persisting through Sat PM. There is a marginal risk for isolated strong-severe storms late this aft/eve west of I 69, and a marginal/slight risk (NW OH) on Saturday aft/eve. There is a moderate swim risk for Lake MI beaches in Northern Berrien County, MI; including Silver Beach. Breaking waves and currents are expected this afternoon.

There is a marginal risk for strong to severe storms this afternoon into the late evening (4pm-1am ET) along and west of I 69. Confidence is low as best ingredients come together towards/after sunset, which could limit severe intensity. There is a marginal to slight risk (NW OH) for severe storms Sat, with the best potential in the afternoon and evening. Confidence is medium with more favorable ingredients and timing than Friday, but severe intensity could be limited by AM rain/storms. Damaging winds and large hail are the primary threats for both today/Sat.

One last tolerable day with regards to humidity levels. Partly cloudy and breezy this afternoon, with increasing humidity in the afternoon. Highs in the 80s. Chances for showers and thunderstorms this weekend, with higher humidity and temperatures in the mid-upper 80s. We could see the northern lights tonight, depending on cloud cover.

There are chances (greater than 60%) for showers and thunderstorms Fri afternoon into Sat night. Strong to severe storms are possible during the afternoon/evening hours both days, with damaging winds and large hail the main threats. Heavy downpours and frequent lightning expected. There is a marginal risk for areas generally along/north of US 24 Fri aft/eve, and a marginal to slight risk (NW OH) Sat aft/eve. Low confidence in severe weather at this point given somewhat unfavorable timing (Fri) and earlier rain and storms Sat AM. Monitor the forecast for the latest updates!

Warmth continues this week with mainly dry conditions through Thursday. Humidity increases by the weekend, with rain/storm chances returning. No day is expected to be a complete washout but Saturday has the best opportunity with 60-80% chances for rain/storms.
