Registrar IV - Health Department

Full-Time - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Starting Wage: $19.44

Responsibilities:

Answer telephone, respond to inquiries, take messages or transfer to appropriate department or individual.
Greet and assist office visitors, including assist with various applications, issue birth and death certificates and letters of non-objection, receive payments and provide receipts.
Perform computer data entry and queries, including various permit data, inspections, reports, vital records and immunizations.
Type, file, retrieve and copy various documents as assigned, including permits, birth and death certificates, correspondence and reports.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED required.
Possession of or ability to obtain certifications by the State Department of Health Vital Records Department.
Ability to meet all hiring requirements, including passage of a drug test.
Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of state and local rules, regulations and procedures regarding vital records, including processing, filing, certifying and releasing information.
Ability to provide public access to or maintain confidentiality of department information/records according to stat requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, other County departments, Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), medical offices, and the public, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
Possession of a valid Indiana driver's license and demonstrated safe driving record.

The Kosciusko County Health Department is now hiring part-time nurse for the child Immunization Clinic. 👩‍⚕️

Some of the responsibilities include, being back up coordinator, administer immunizations, and assist with off site clinics.

For those of you that are looking to participate in any upcoming Third Friday's, fairs, or festivals in Kosciusko County. You may click on the link that is provided and will direct you to the website where you may obtain your daily food permits in order to be able to participate in such events. 🎪

Also, as always you may go to the Kosciusko County Health Department at 100 W Center St. on the 3rd floor and obtain that in person.

Trained to be housecats since birth. Stanley is declawed. Both Molly & Stanley are current on their shots and both are fixed.

--Perform various bookkeeping functions, electronic ledger of daily, monthly and receipt expenses, receiving and recording payments, balancing ledgers, and delivering reports to Auditor and Treasurer.
--Greets and assists office visitors, including researching, issuing, copying and forwarding various permit, records.

Job Requirements:
--High School Diploma
--Accounting/Banking experience helpful
--Working knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices and ability to receive, receipt and record money and perform arithmetic calculations.
--Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, other County departments, State board of Accounts, and the public.
