The Kosciusko County Extension Homemaker's Annual Holiday Program is NOVEMBER 5th. The morning Session has Carl Mosier doing a Bob Ross style presentation and then he will help all attendees to paint a picture of their own. After a break for lunch (included in the registration) each person will be making a Christmas decoration to take home. The DEADLINE for registration is FRIDAY OCTOBER 16th. You DO NOT need to be an Extension Homemaker Member to attend. Registration is $17.00 per person and should make out to Kos. Co. Extension Homemakers and sent to CONNIE HIMES, 3705 N. 300 W, WARSAW, IN 46582. Check in time is 9-9:30 am at the HFA Building on the Kos. Co. Fairgrounds in Warsaw, IN.

On Wednesday Oct 7th, Marsha Miller, Martha Whetstone, Carol Droke, DeeAnna Muraski and Alice Keirn traveled to LaPorte to attend the Fall district Meeting. It was a great day to travel and the building it was held in was a wonderful place to have a meeting. Marsha attended a meeting for the County Presidents. We learned about the NewDay foundation that assist patients with everyday challenges and The Steady Stitchers who help people repair clothes. An Auctioneer auctioned off Wrapped Gifts and there was lots and lots of excitement as the Ladies bid against each other! Over $1000 was raised and donated to the NewDay Foundation.

OCTOBER 19-24 IS EXTENSION HOMEMAKER'S WEEK! Included in your Newsletter was a sheet with the EXTENSION HOMEMAKER'S LOGO on it. The Board encourages you to take a picture with YOU AND THE LOGO SHEET. This can be at any location and with any background and/or people you choose. Bring that picture to the President's Council Meeting Wednesday, November 18th at 1:15 pm at HFA Building at the Kos. Co. Fairgrounds. To qualify YOU must attend the meeting and have the picture with you. REMEMBER the President's Council Meetings are always open to all Kosciusko County Extension Homemakers including MAILBOX MEMBERS!
Here are some guidelines, from the State Public Activity Committee, that your club can use to celebrate EXTENSION HOMEMAKERS' WEEK!
MONDAY-wear blue and gold. TUESDAY-Giving day-give "survival kits" to people in need. Donate to a charity. WEDNESDAY-Education Day-Offer a "thank you" to Teachers and Bus Drivers. Remind people we give scholarships! THURSDAY-Volunteer! Donate! FRIDAY-Member Day-Ask a friend if they would like to join! Share what Extension Homemakers do. SATURDAY-Make a Difference Day- Volunteer, share a SMILE with a stranger, say "Thank you", take Treats or nice notes to Firefighters, Police Officers, Jail Workers and other Community Helpers!

There's still time to enter! Open Class Project Check-In continues until 11:30 a.m. today (Saturday, July 11) in the Home & Family Arts Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.
