Gallatin county sheriffs office with GALLATIN County Emergency Managment is issuing a golden alert for two elderly people who are missing they are driving a 2016 white Toyota RAV 4 with ky Lic plate 5563DZ the vehicle is occupied by 79 yo Sarah Redden, W/F 5’6” 155 lbs green eyes and grey hair
Also occupied by 77yo James Sullivan W/M 5’10” 200 lbs brown eyes brown gray hair if you have any information call 911 or 859-567-7800

They were last seen in the area of KY 562 and US Highway 42 east around 9:00 pm Saturday, June 10th.

Due to the possibility of severe weather today the monthly test of the outdoor sirens has been canceled. Our office has been in contact with Boone, Campbell and Kenton County EMA and they will not be testing their outdoor sirens for the same reason. [105 pm] Here is an update on the severe weather potential for tonight. No change in timing, but the potential for more significant thunderstorm winds has increased.

We have been working on securing storm shelters in case we have any events with this storm cell this afternoon. As of right now we have the following locations.

Warsaw Baptist church
106 West High st

Glencoe Church of Christ
108 West Collins st

Scenic View Church of Christ
805 KY 562 Verona KY

Sparta Christian church
139 KY 467 west 

We also want to thank these Churches for being available to us to use when events like this happen.

AM Update - stay weather aware today!
1) Strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon (primary window 2P-7P) with wind gusts to 70 mph and a few tornadoes possible.
2) Strong winds to 55-60mph AFTER the storms move out later this afternoon and evening.
