The outcome is not what any of us wanted after 2-day search but we do want to say we appreciate everyone who helped. Morgan County EMA, Morgan County Sheriff’s office, Morgan County 911 dispatchers, Morgan County EMS, Petros Fire, Deer Lodge Fire, Scott County Rescue Squad, Cumberland County Rescue Squad, TWRA, Windrock Security, THP, Dewayne Bales with Blue Line Security, and all of those in the communities that searched the areas. Prayers to the family and his friends.

We have difficult update to share in the for David Garrett. Authorities found him deceased this afternoon in Morgan County.

Our thoughts are with those who knew and loved him during this tough time.

: We need your help to find David Garrett, who is missing from Morgan County.

The 60-year-old is 5’10”, 213 lbs., with blue eyes & bald. He was last seen Saturday near Calvin Howard Rd. in Lancing.

Garrett may be driving this red 2019 Ford F-350 with TN tag BVK3941. He has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.

This week, we recognize the dedicated men and women of rescue squads across Tennessee and beyond who answer the call day and night — often without hesitation and without recognition.

From vehicle extrications and water rescues to search operations and disaster response, rescue squad personnel stand ready to serve their communities during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Announcement: The Morgan County Rescue Squad has kicked off its Annual Picture Drive Fundraiser today, Monday, May 4. F&O Photography will be going door-to-door in our communities accepting donations (which all will go directly to the Rescue Squad). This company will be wearing Rescue Squad t-shirts and have proper identification.

The Rescue Squad provides countywide emergency services when you need it most. Please consider supporting your local volunteer emergency services, including Fire Departments and Rescue Squad.
