Our thoughts and prayers are with the Granger family on the passing of Retired Village of Warwick Police Chief Russell Granger. Chief Granger began his career as a police officer in August of 1969, he was promoted to Sergeant in April of 1973 and Chief in August of 1978. Chief Granger retired in 1990 after serving the Village of Warwick for 21 years.

Today we happily welcomed Officer Tyler Morella back to work. Officer Morella, who is also a Master Sergeant with the Air National Guard based in Newburgh, was deployed to Kuwait last October for a short deployment. That deployment ultimately was extended several times until late June when he was cleared to return home.

We appreciate his service to the Town of Warwick and to our country, and are glad to have him back safe and sound.

Junior Police Academy day 9. The cadets were taught CPR and first aid by Kelly Pikul. Kelly is a longtime member of the Pine Island Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a Warwick Police Dispatcher. She has taught these living saving lessons to each session of the JPA and we truly appreciate the time she devotes to the program.
