Back to 2024, when the Old School Baptist Meeting House got the roof it so badly needed thanks to a generous grant from James Skoufis 🪏

This WHS-owned property now has a roof built to protect it for generations. We’ll never forget the day the Senator came out to see the finished work for himself, talking with our longtime curator Michael Bertolini and members of the WHS board. His continued support, and his genuine interest in preserving Warwick’s history, means the world to us.

Thank you, Senator Skoufis, for believing in this beloved building and in the work of the Warwick Historical Society.

📜 Big news from WHS — we’re forming a brand-new Heritage Committee, chaired by Deputy Town Historian Alan Held! 🏛️

It’s still taking shape, but some of the ideas on the table: digging up stories for our social media and newsletter, recording oral histories with longtime residents, lending a hand to our Archives and Education committees, and just exploring Warwick’s history together. ✨
