We are happy to announce we have been awarded $10,500 from this years equipment grant. We will be purchasing a hydraulic ram with the funds of the grant. This will officially give the department the ability to have a full set of Jaws of Life(cutters, spreaders and a ram). We are very fortunate for this funding to better equip the fire department with life saving tools and offset the burden to the town.

The Commonwealth’s Executive Office of Public Safety & Security and the Department of Fire Services announced the awardees for the FY26 Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant program. Congratulations to all of the awardees in the Second Franklin District.

These funds will reimburse fire departments for the purchase of essential safety equipment, including turnout gear, hoses, nozzles, communications equipment, and hand tools.
