3-Pines Nature Place

3-Pines Nature Place 3 Pines is a nature-themed play area for children of all ages at The Warwick Community Center on Hamilton Avenue. Come experience it for yourself.

It's a volunteer community project and grows a bit each season! It's a wonderful complement to other parks in the area. We are a free, non-for-profit, volunteer run natural play area that assembles elements of nature and cultures to create explorative play and learning opportunities for children of all ages. Here you will find a cedar palisade fort based on an original Lenape Indian design, dry st

ream beds and bridges for wandering, a dirt kitchen, a large sensory sand box, life size birds nest to gather in, several agility paths for all age levels, plenty of gentle rolling hills & wonderful places to explore! We are now in need of donations & volunteers to keep it safe & functioning properly. Please consider us if you are interested. Reach out to us for more information.

What an incredible day of community, care, and collaboration at 3-Pines Nature Place at the Warwick Valley Community Center
We want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who donated their time, resources, and energy to help clean up and enhance this beautiful shared space. Your spirit of service has made an impact, and the results speak for themselves!

A few special shout outs:
Tom McKnight, Village Trustee – Thank you, and thanks to both the Village and Town DPW teams for supplying and delivering gravel that helped stabilize the paths and gathering areas.

Holly tree service inc – We’re grateful for your generous donation of wood chips that freshened up our paths and play zones.
The Scalpone Family – Thank you for contributing the logs and tree stumps that added natural seating and play elements throughout the space.

And of course, to the 50+ incredible volunteers—young and old—who showed up with tools and big hearts: we couldn’t have done it without you.

This is what community looks like. Let’s keep building on this momentum together!

Warwick residents are invited to join thousands of communities nationwide for the 41st Annual “National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event on Tuesday, August 6. The Warwick Police Department is teaming up with the Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition to bring this free, family-friendly event to the community from 5 to 8 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, Forester Ave. in Warwick.
Enjoy games, face painting and other fun activities while listening to music by the Black Dirt Bandits. Children will have the opportunity to explore DPW and farm trucks, racecars, and emergency service vehicles in the Touch-A-Truck area. Food trucks will be onsite and once again, the WPD will be barbecuing hotdogs and The Prevention Coalition and Community Center will be giving away Popcorn and lemonade!.
“We are looking forward to a fun evening and to continue strengthening community relationships,” said Warwick Police Chief John Rader.
"This is one of my favorite events. It is wonderful to see the Warwick families come out and meet our Police and see all the services Warwick offers. It really is a great night. So much fun for everyone." said Kerry Malone-Demetroules Prevention Coordinator
In addition to the WPD, other local police departments and emergency services units will be participating. Many non-profits and local businesses throughout the town and county will be on hand to provide local resources to residents, offering everyone the opportunity to learn more about their organizations.

Yesterday, 21 adults and 13 children gathered at 3 Pines Nature Place to donate their time and skills to help freshen up the beloved space. At 8:45 Tunis from Sweetman's Farm arrived in his skid steer to help us move some large rocks around the space. What a big help this was. Other projects that filled up our 4 hours of fun together were the creation of 3 new toddler work tables, pulling out old logs around the sand box so new wood can be put in later this week, laying mulch over the main play area, transporting of smaller rocks from around the space to their new home in the dry stream bed, drilling holes in tires to prevent mosquito infestation, addition of 3 new logs from a neighbor’s house, w**d pulling, and 7 new wooden cookies were placed to jump on!! Thank you to the DPW here in the Village of Warwick for dropping mulch off! And a huge thank you to everyone who showed up to help bring this space back to life!!!
