West Warwick will host Rhode Island’s first Republican Primary Debates of the election cycle on June 9th at Club Frontenac.

Candidates for Governor and Congressional District 2 will take the stage to share their vision for the future of Rhode Island.

This morning, the Rhode Island Young Republicans called on Governor Dan McKee to release the last three years of reports related to the Cranston bridge including inspection records, maintenance history, and any plans moving forward.

We are giving the Governor until 12:00 PM on Monday to make these records public. If they are not released, we will move forward with a formal public records request to ensure transparency at 12:15 PM.

At the same time, we are calling on Helena Buonanno Foulkes to outline her plan to address Rhode Island’s failing infrastructure by 12:00 PM Monday.

Rhode Islanders deserve answers and they deserve a real plan.

The Rhode Island Young Republicans are calling on Governor Dan McKee to publicly release all records related to last nights bridge failure by 12:00 PM on Monday including inspection reports, repair history, maintenance records, and any known timeline for future repairs.

If those records are not released, RIYR will file a formal public records request seeking their immediate disclosure.

We are also calling on Democratic gubernatorial candidate Helena Buonanno Foulkes to release, by 12:00 PM Monday, a clear plan explaining how she would address Rhode Island’s worsening infrastructure crisis.
