🚦 HAWK Crossing Upgrade Coming to HWY 46 & Poplar!
The City of Wasco is upgrading the existing flashing beacon crosswalk at HWY 46 and Poplar to a HAWK (High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk).
Work is already underway, with foundations and other improvements already in place. We’re currently waiting for the HAWK poles, which have been delayed by the manufacturer.
The upgrade is expected to be completed by the end of September. We appreciate everyone’s patience while this important pedestrian safety improvement moves forward!
