FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
State Representative Keith Allen Announces Re-Election Campaign for Minnesota House District 19A
Kenyon, Minn. — State Representative Keith Allen announced today that he has filed for re-election to the Minnesota House of Representatives, seeking another term representing the hardworking people of House District 19A.
“There comes a time when you must decide whether you are content to watch from the sidelines or willing to roll up your sleeves and keep doing the hard work the people sent you to do,” Allen said. “I ran for office because I believed the voices of farmers, small business owners, working families, and taxpayers deserved to be heard. I am running again because that work is not finished.”
Allen, a farmer, small business owner, husband, and father, was elected in 2024 after campaigning on a simple belief: government ought to be honest, accountable, and firmly rooted in common sense.
“In rural Minnesota, we were taught that if you borrow a dollar, you pay it back; if you make a mistake, you own up to it; and if someone puts their trust in you, you do everything in your power to honor that trust,” Allen said. “That is exactly how I have approached this job.”
During his first term, Allen worked to strengthen government oversight, protect taxpayer dollars, improve school bus safety, support agriculture, and stand up for the communities that too often feel overlooked by those in power.
“The people of this district are not asking for miracles,” Allen said. “They are asking for a government that listens, spends their money wisely, and remembers that every law passed in St. Paul reaches into the homes, schools, farms, and businesses of real people.”
Allen and his wife, Morgan, are raising their two children in the district, where they are active in their church, local school and community.
“I know what it means to balance a family budget, worry about the future of our schools, and work long hours to keep a business and farm running,” Allen said. “I carry those experiences with me every time I walk onto the House floor.”
Allen said his campaign will continue to focus on restoring trust in government and ensuring that rural Minnesota has a strong and independent voice at the Capitol.
“This country and this state were built by men and women who believed that hard work matters, that truth matters, and that public service is a solemn obligation,” Allen said. “If the people of District 19A grant me the privilege of serving again, I will continue to fight every day to make sure their government belongs to them.”
