📋 Free Fish Disposal Available at Waseca County Solid Waste Department
With bowfishing for common carp and native rough fish growing in popularity across Waseca County, the Solid Waste Department is helping local anglers keep our waterways clean by offering free fish disposal.
This service provides a dedicated, clean disposal site for the community to support both sport fishing and invasive species control.

Did you know Minnesota offers dental benefits for eligible veterans and surviving spouses?

Many people are surprised to learn that the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) may help cover routine dental care, dentures, and even extractions for qualifying veterans and dependents.

Here’s what may be available through this state benefit program:

🦷 Up to $1,500 annually for routine dental care
🦷 Additional denture authorization up to $4,000
🦷 Up to $2,500 for extractions related to denture preparation

These benefits are income- and asset-based, and eligibility must be approved through MDVA.

Dental health is important to your overall health, confidence, and quality of life—and too many veterans and surviving spouses go without care simply because they don’t realize help may be available.

As the school year winds down, keeping our kids safe remains a top priority. Minnesota recently updated its school bus laws to clear up any confusion on the road and, more importantly, to protect our students.
It’s no longer just about the stop arm. Under the new law, you must stop your vehicle at least 20 feet away the moment those red lights begin flashing.
