NOTICE of ROAD CLOSURE: CSAH 14 (Old Hwy 14)
CSAH 14 (Old Hwy 14) will be closed beginning September 8th for a culvert replacement project located between 85th St and 95th St. A detour route utilizing county highways will be posted for the duration of the project.

What is a VA Health Care Priority Group—and why does it matter?

If you've enrolled in VA Health Care, you've likely been assigned a Priority Group. But what exactly does that mean?

Your Priority Group helps determine things like:
✅ Your eligibility for VA Health Care
✅ Whether you may have copays
✅ Your access to certain VA health care benefits and services

Many veterans assume that a lower Priority Group means they receive "less" from the VA. In reality, the VA uses Priority Groups to organize enrollment based on factors such as service-connected disabilities, military service, income, and other qualifying criteria.

The important thing to remember is this:

Don't let your Priority Group keep you from applying for VA Health Care or asking questions. Every veteran's situation is unique, and understanding your eligibility can open the door to health care and other valuable benefits.
