Pictured here are Sgt. Renz, Deputy Grigsby, Sgt. Stoychoff, and Deputy Harnisch — the first members of the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office to attend EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) training.
Over the course of the year, several more members of our staff will also complete this training. The goal is to gain additional medical knowledge so we can better render aid and help stabilize patients until EMS arrives.
This training strengthens our ability to serve the public when seconds matter.

Today was K9 Parker's last shift and he is now retired! He served the citizens of Bayfield County and beyond for 6 years. His service has resulted in numerous drug seizures and searches for suspects as well as missing people.

K9 Parker was the very first Police K9 in the history of the Sheriff's Office and helped mold the K9 Program we have today.

K9 Parker had to retire early due to unforeseen health problems. But now he gets to enjoy the days at home with handler Sgt. Renz and his family, enjoying all the toys and treats every good boy deserves!

Thank you Parker for your service to Bayfield County and we hope you have a happy retirement!
