Last week marked the completion of an incredible first-grade project! Our students researched organisms that live around Northern Wisconsin, then wrote, illustrated, and published their very own books.

We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and curiosity about the natural world around them. Congratulations to our young authors on this amazing accomplishment!

The Class of 2026 has generously donated a new flagpole and American flag to the School District of Washburn baseball fields, creating a lasting tribute for our students, athletes, and community.

Today, the Class of 2026 flagpole was set in place and is ready for tomorrow's flag-raising ceremony at 12:00 PM. The ceremony will be led by senior parents Joseph D. See, who served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant, and retired U.S. Army Sergeant Christine M. See.

The Class of 2026 Family Support Group would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Fat Kid Foods, David from 211, Paul of Wroblewski Plumbing & Heating, and the City of Washburn for their generosity and support in helping make this project a reality.

We look forward to gathering tomorrow as we celebrate this meaningful addition to our baseball fields and honor the spirit of community and Washburn pride.
