We had so much fun hosting the PedalPower Kids Bike Adventure campers at the Embassy for the third year in a row! 🚲

A big thank you to Rachel Varn and Andrea Christiansen for all of their coordination, as well as to the fantastic bike coaches who chaperoned the kids during their visits. From Austrian ski figurine arts & crafts to active games in our great atrium space and snacks on the terrace, we hope the campers had just as good a time as we did welcoming them to the Embassy.

Thank you for another wonderful summer - we can't wait to welcome the bikers back next year! 🇦🇹🇺🇸

As the finale of the spring season of the weekly Friday Music at Midday concert series at National City Christian Church, the award-winning Austrian organist Stefan Donner presented works by some of Europe's greatest composers on June 26, 2026. Those who were unable to attend can watch the concert on the National City Christian Church's YouTube channel (Friends of National City Christian Church) or on the church's page🎼🎵

In addition, the DC Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum Washington, hosted an inspiring masterclass with Stefan Donner at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle on June 27, 2026 🎹

✨🎶🎭 THANK YOU to the Vienna-based collective Fox On Ice for a wonderful performance of ORLANDO TRIP at the Embassy of Austria, Washington D.C.!

The audience was fascinated by this reimagination of Ludovico Ariosto’s and Virginia Woolf’s mythical character Orlando. Part concert, part spoken performance, part cinematic experience, ORLANDO TRIP unfolded through twelve songs, intermezzi, and videos that traced the journey of Orlando — a knight, traveler, and ambassador, who crossed the seas several times and finally returned as a masterful and nomadic conqueror of rigid borders. Seamlessly blending stage and film, music and literature, Fox On Ice created an immersive world where humans and landscapes, masculinity and femininity, reality and myth continuously transformed into one another 🌍📚🎬
