Coordinated Air Support Leads to Apprehension of 12 Near Laredo!

On August 13, a Laredo Air Branch AS350 aircrew partnered with a San Angelo MQ-9 Predator crew and Laredo West Border Patrol agents during a coordinated border security operation near Laredo, Texas.

Through real-time aerial support, the MQ-9 and AS350 crews helped vector Border Patrol agents to a group, resulting in the apprehension of 12 illegal aliens.

This successful operation highlights the teamwork and coordination between Air and Marine Operations and U.S. Border Patrol in support of border security.

On August 10, a Supervisory Marine Interdiction Agent from the Key Largo Marine Unit encountered a multi-vehicle collision on Overseas Highway in Key Largo, Florida, and quickly assessed the scene and identified multiple injured individuals.

An off-duty Air and Marine Emergency Medical Services (AMEMS)-certified Marine Interdiction Agent also arrived on scene and assisted with triage and medical care. Together, the pair provided aid to the individuals until local EMS arrived and transported the injured to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

This is a testament to our team always being ready to support and protect the communities we live and serve in.

On August 11, Marine Interdiction Agents assigned to the Fort Pierce Marine Unit, with support from the Jacksonville and Tampa Marine Units, CBP Office of Field Operations, FBI, and U.S. Coast Guard, conducted joint maritime security operations near Cape Canaveral.

During a vessel stop, agents encountered three individuals aboard a recreational vessel. One individual was unable to provide documentation establishing lawful immigration status and admitted to being unlawfully present in the United States for approximately 15 years. The individual was taken into custody and transferred to CBP Office of Field Operations officers at the Cape Canaveral Port of Entry for further processing.

This operation highlights the continued coordination among federal law enforcement partners to secure our maritime borders and enforce U.S. law.
