250 years ago, brave patriots pledged their lives, and their fortunes, to declare that we are a free people under God, not subjects of a distant tyrant.

They risked everything so that we could live in the greatest nation the world has ever known.

Our flag has been carried into battle by heroes, draped over the caskets of the fallen, and raised high by every generation that refused to bow to tyranny.

Today, we don’t just celebrate fireworks and cookouts. We honor the eternal truth that freedom isn’t free.
