There are five upcoming Scoping Sessions for the Desert Southwest Expansion Project.
FERC invites community members, landowners, Tribal representatives, and interested organizations to attend upcoming in‑person scoping sessions for the proposed Desert Southwest Expansion Project (Docket No. PF26-9-000)
Scoping sessions are an opportunity for you to share your environmental concerns directly into FERC’s official record. There is no formal presentation. Instead, you’ll meet one‑on‑one with a transcriptionist who will record your comment for the docket.
To help you prepare, check out our resource about scoping sessions and what to expect:

📣 These sessions are open to the public, and you are welcome to attend any session that works best for you.
OPP staff will be onsite to answer questions about FERC’s process and help you navigate ways to participate.
To ensure that your comments are timely and properly recorded, please submit your comments so that the Commission receives them in Washington, DC on or before 5:00 pm Eastern Time on August 5, 2026.
