🐶It’s gearing up to be another “fur”ocious year of coopetition at the Fall Fun Day Dog Costume Contest and we’ve called in a re”bark”able panel of judges to help us find our top-three contestants! ✨ Scroll through to a see “howl” be judging this year’s event and be sure to stop by Milian Park (499 Massachusetts Avenue NW) around 11am if you want to “paw”ticipate in this year’s competition! 🦴
⭐️ We are thrilled to welcome NBC Washington’s Juliana Valencia (J U L I A N A V A L E N C I A) to our judges panel! This local news anchor is coming straight off the desk this weekend to judge this year’s competition. It’s not her first rodeo determining the best costumed pooch for the prize. Our Dupont Circle neighbor will be accompanied by Wilson, her 14-year-old dog from college. ⭐️
🎃As our ANC 6E08 Commissioner, Dale is a representative of the neighborhood including all the furry friends who live here! We’re excited to have him and know he will advise his fellow judges with the same “great weight” that is given to District government agencies on official ANC recommendations!🎃
🌳As a member of the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Foundation, Rebecca is honored to contribute to MVT’s “barks and recreation”, and “can’t wait to be front row and paw-ticipate in this mutt-see event of the year”!🌳
✨For the first time ever, we are introducing a Kid’s Choice vote to our beloved Dog Costume Contest! Our illustrious judges will have the challenge of narrowing down this year’s dog pool to the top three and then we’ll open it up to the Fall Fun Day attendees to select our ultimate champ. After the runway, kids can cast their votes at the MVT CID table where we will tally the scores and determine the winner.✨
