Celebrating Caribbean women all women’s history month!

In 2025, Director Snider joined Samantha Abrams, founder of Sapodilla’s Caribbean Restaurant in Ward 8, for their grand opening. As a Caribbean woman entrepreneur, she has created more than just a restaurant—she has built a cultural hub that celebrates Caribbean heritage through cuisine, hospitality, and community connection. Her work represents economic empowerment in action, bringing investment and vibrancy to Ward 8 while creating opportunities for local employment and small business growth. By centering culture, excellence, and service, she embodies the longstanding tradition of Caribbean women who lead with resilience, pride, and a deep commitment to uplifting their communities.
